Aerospace Part-Marking System

The HMP-1500D Advanced Part Marking system was designed specifically for aerospace productidentification.The system can mark parts as small as fasteners to as large as wingspars from the same platform. The working part of the system couples a Domino A300+ inkjet printer to our AS-1000HD Handheld transport device.The AS-1000HD provides motion of the Domino inkjet printhead across the product to create the identification mark. The printhead does not touch the product which allows the mark to conform to the rough or contoured surface. Our APS-2000 aerospace parts-marking software with a Windows based computer provides an application tailored to the Part Mark requirements of the Aerospace Industry. Database storage of the mark data and format allows fast and accurate part marking.The inkjet printer,the AS-1000HD,a touch screen POS computer with the APS2000 software, and a handheld barcode scanner are combined with the required cables,air and power conditioning equipment on our MC-1000 inkjet cart to create the HMP-1500D.

The AS-1000HD functions as a transporter to move an Domino inkjet printhead past a product at a fixed speed while applying the part mark. The unit can be operated as a handheld which allows an operator to mark large or small parts within a 6-15 foot radius of the printer.The AS1000HD can also be mounted to a fixed arm to supply a stationary transport. In the fixed mode. the part is held in front of the AS1000HD while the operator triggers motion with a foot switch. With two free hands the operator can easily position difficult to mark products.
